Greatest jerky around

Honestly the best jerky I've ever had, been getting this stuff for a couple years now! Only problem is. . . it's too moreish!

Tasty

Really nicely flavoured. Not too salty, and a good chew! I'm gluten intolerant and also on a low fodmap diet so it's fabulous I can enjoy jerky without all the additional ingredients which would exclude me being able to eat jerky. I bought 2 other flavours for my other half and he really enjoyed them but said he preferred mine so after finishing our packets we've now ordered more, but just this flavour. Simple and effective. Great work! Thanks :)

Too salty

I found the jerky too salty - much saltier than other brands. But the service was good, delivery fast, and meat itself appeared to be of very good quality. If only it wasn’t that salty… I will try other flavours to compare, but will definitely be ordering small pouches instead of large 200g ones to avoid further disappointment if they are just as salty as “trail” variety.

Thanks for taking the time for writing a balanced review and appreciate the comment regarding our service and beef. The saltiness is of course, a matter of personal opinion. We currently use 35g of salt per 1000g of beef in our marinades, this aids with water reduction to prevent pathogen growth. Other (larger) companies tend to use nitrates/nitrites to prevent this which we do not due to its other factors. We are however sending off samples to the laboratories with reduced salt to assess their water content in tangent with our drying processes to see if we can reduce this safely. All of our other flavours have exactly the same amount of salt content, however may not taste as salty due to the other ingredients and sugar. Hope this helps, thanks again,

Could you please tell me if you had a burnt piece that got through quality control or were a couple of pieces overdone?
